Sourenee launches black & green organic tea

Kolkata, Oct. 25 (IBNS) Titagarh Group's Sourenee Leaves Pvt.Ltd. is foraying into the Indian domestic tea retail market with black and green organic Darjeeling tea for the first time.

"Till date we sell through tea auctions and private sales but with the launching of smaller packaged teas in cartons with leaf teas as well as tea bags they will reach out to the consumers directly," said Vinita Bajoria, Sr. Vice President-Commercial, Titagarh Wagons Ltd., here on Monday.

She also added that the company is coming up with e- selling. Customers can purchase the product through the company site.

They are expecting that the production will reach 65,000 kg in the current FY 2011-12 against 60,401 kg of FY 2010-11.

The company is planning to sell 80 % of their production through retailing in the future.

After the success in the domestic market they will start export of these packaged product in the tea drinking countries.

The company has also plans to enter into eco- tourism by next year once all the legal formalities are cleared.
