Indian Sports Films on Tuesday unveiled a sports docu-drama titled 'Poor Cousins of Million Dollar Babies' in Kolkata's Press Club.
The 29 minute-long docu-drama highlights the life, dressing rooms and minds of the Indian women's cricket team.
Actor Indraneil Sengupta, cricketer Anjum Chopra and director Sunil Yash Kalra were present at the event.
The movie features five members of the Indian women's cricket team including Anjum Chopra. She is the protagonist in the film.
Anjum said: "I am highly thankful to Sunil for getting down so deep into the subject and highlighting our topic in such a beautiful manner."
Anjum said: "His admiration for Indian sports is clearly visible through his work on screen. His conceptually compelling storytelling and satirical humor stands apart from the rest. I am sure people will love 'Poor Cousins Part.II' as much as they loved ´Poor Cousins Part.I´."
Director Sunil Yash Kalra said, "Sports persons have an existential humor which is very addictive. We are to trying to highlight the same in ´Poor Cousins Part.2´."
Indraneil Sengupta said: "Poor Cousins of Million Dollar Babies is an undiluted and sincere effort worthy of applausefor Sunil Yash Kalra and Anjum. It is worth mentioning that the intricacy of weaving three stories in the short film is what holds the viewer's interest intact".
'Poor Cousins' will be officially launched in India following the screening in Kolkata.
