Sreesanth tweets on 'slapgate' episode

Indian cricketer S Sreesanth on Friday said off-spinner Harbhajan Singh did not slap him but hit him with his elbow during the infamous 'slapgate' incident at the inaugural edition of cash rich Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008.

"To be whr Iam ..I ve no complaints..but now I want u All to know the truth.He (Bhajji) never Slapped me. The video will show u all..wt he did," Sreesanth tweeted.

"All blamed me for getting emotional ..?? c mon who doesn´t get emotional whn u know the person who u worship is a backstabbing person Nd," he posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The fast bowler said: "Disgusting ..that´s all I can say..u should get hold of the video..them u all will know te truth..wht he did is completely out of control."

In a series of tweets, Sreesanth said: "I want the world to c it..Whn I went to shake hands afte the match..he had lost it..he had already planned to hit me (elbow me) all his anger."

Sreesanth later deleted the tweets but advised Harbhajan and tweeted: "I don´t want Bhajji to feel bad now..I need to tell the truth to the world..wht happend was´s not my fault at all..and all media ???"

Sreesanth tweeted his reactions on the ´slapgate´ incident a day after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Gautam Gambhir got involved in an on-field altercation during a IPL match on Thursday.

He said he felt disappointed after a leading Indian daily ´compared´ on-field spat between Kohli and Gambhir with the ´slapgate´ incident.

"Jst read times of india sports page headlines..very very disappointing...yesterday s incident with Gautam Bhai Nd virat ..was compared ???" Sreesanth tweeted.

In his last tweet on the issue, the cricketer said: "It was just my feeling which I shared..I hve nothing more to say..thnks a always."

Trigeering a controversy, Harbhajan Singh had slapped Sreesanth after the an IPL match between King´s XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians in 2008.
