Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’.
Last date for submission of applications: July 15, 2017
Date of examination: September 4 to 7, 2017
Vacancies: The number of vacancies will be announced at a later date.
The positions are present in the ministries/ departments of central government, including their attached/ subordinate offices located in states and union territories all over the country.
Eligibility: All those who wish to apply for SSC Stenographer grade C & D recruitment exams are,
Age Limit: 18 - 27 years as on 01.08.2017 (age relaxations on maximum age are available for SC/ST, OBC, PH, Ex-servicemen candidates)
Candidate should have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
Selections: Candidates will be shortlisted for a skill test on the basis of their performance in the computer based examination.
Candidates who qualify in the skill test will be finally recommended for appointment by the commission on the basis of total marks in the written examination.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with disability and Ex-servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
