New Delhi: Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi Tuesday assured a child rights panel that he would request Star TV not to air a serial based on the story of teenaged Aarushi Talwar's murder and said the channel should "not make business out of the issue".
The assurance was given by the minister during his meeting with Sandhya Bajaj, a member of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
Bajaj, who met Dasmunsi for 10 minutes in his office, urged him to stop Balaji Telefilms from making a serial on Aarushi.

"He has assured us all help and was concerned over the matter. He said that the channel should not make business out of the issue. He promised to request the channel (Star TV) not to air the serial," Bajaj told IANS after meeting the minister.
She said the panel had issued a notice to Balaji Telefilms Tuesday following the plea of Aarushi's mother that Balaji Telefilms should be stopped from making a soap opera on her slain daughter.
