Student kills teacher in Chennai school

In a tragic incident, a class nine student allegedly killed his teacher in Chennai's St. Mary's Anglo-Indian School on Thursday.

The teacher, Uma Maheshwari, was allegedly stabbed by the student in the class room.

The incident occurred around 11:30 am in the morning, media reports said.

The boy "killed" the teacher for being strict with him.

Forty-year-old Maheshwari used to teach in the school for the past 8 to 10 year, reports said.

The boy is currently being interrogated by police.
