At least 14 people lost their lives on Friday when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a mosque in Pakistan's Peshawar city, said reports.

At least 30 others were injured in the attack that took place during Friday prayers.

The police rushed to the spot immediately.

Superintendent of Police Rural Shafiullah Khan told that one of the attackers wearing a suicide vest entered the mosque and blew himself up in front of the worshippers.

He said three attackers attempted to enter the Hussaini madressa mosque in Chamkini area on Friday but they were denied permission by the security guards posted at the entrance of the mosque.
