New Delhi, Jan 22 (IANS) It was a sunny and clear day in the capital Tuesday as the maximum temperature settled a notch below average at 20.4 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast similar weather Wednesday.
"There will be light mist in the morning tomorrow (Wednesday) but the afternoon would be clear and sunny," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 21 and four degrees Celsius, respectively.
Tuesday morning was nippy with the minimum temperature settling three notches below average at 4.8 degrees Celsius, but the day was sunny.
The maximum and minimum humidity hovered between a high of 100 and a low of 34 percent, respectively.
North India saw fog, disrupting train movement.
A total of 16 trains were running behind schedule by several hours and nine train services were cancelled till Tuesday afternoon, a Northern Railway official said.
Monday's maximum temperature settled three notches below average at 18.4 degrees Celsius in Delhi, while the minimum temperature was a notch below average at 6.2 degrees Celsius.
