A suspected member of banned terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM), who was arrested for his alleged involvement in several blasts, was strangled to death by inmates on Friday after a fight inside Pune's Yerawada jail.
Mohammed Siddique was strangled to death inside the jail by fellow prisoners, police said.
The Delhi Police had arrested Siddique in November last year from the national capital.
He was allegedly linked to several blasts including German Bakery blast in Pune, Chinnaswamy Stadium blast in Bangalore and Jama Masjid shooting in New Delhi.
The Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) shifted him to the Pune jail in May.
