'According to the initial reports, 13 people have been killed while several more are wounded,' an intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said.
There were fears that the death toll could rise since some people are still believed to be buried under the rubble, the official said.
The intelligence official who spoke on condition of anonymity said the identity of those killed was not immediately known.
A second intelligence official, who also asked not to be identified, said the missile strikes hit residential compounds and women and children were among the dead.
