New Delhi: As many as 16 new cases of swine flu were reported on Sunday taking the total number of confirmed cases across the country so far to 429.
Four fresh cases were confirmed in the national capital while seven persons were found to be infected with the virus in Pune, two in Kozhikode and one each in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Gurgaon, Union Health Ministry sources said here.
Out of the four cases detected in Delhi, the first case is of a 15-year-old boy who travelled from Singapore, the second one of a 52-year-old man, who arrived here from Malaysia, the third is that of a 24-year-old man who came here from Sydney and the last is that of a 20-year-old male who contracted the disease from a person who had tested positive for the pandemic earlier.
