Tamil nadu HSC class 12 board exams 2018 results declared: 91.1 % pass with girls out performing boys

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu has declared the results of higher secondary certificate (hsc +2) or class 12 board examinations.Students who had appeared for the tests may check the official website — tnresults.nic.in.

The total pass percentage of TN class 12 exams is 91.1% students of which the pass percentage of girls is 94.1 and that of boys is 87.7.

The tamil nadu board examinations started on March 1 and ended on April 6 this year. The directorate said that out of the 893,262 students, who took the exam, 822,838 passed. Girls performed better with a pass percentage of 94.5 as compared to 89.3% for boys. It said 1,171 students scored over 1,180 out of 1,200 marks.

Among districts, Virudhunagar had the highest pass percentage of 98.55 followed by Kanyakumari which was at 98.17 per cent.

KA Sengottaiyan, the education minister while declaring the results said the department has decided not to release ranks and toppers name to discourage unhealthy competition among students.

3) Once the mark details are displayed, make sure to take a print of the same for future reference.
