Tamil Nadu SSLC Class 10 exam results declared at tnresults.nic.in; Pass percent of 94 percent recorded

CBSE Class 10 results make some happy

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has declared the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 results today, May 19  on their official website - tnresults.nic.in. Students may check their results starting from 10 AM in the morning on the above website.

Nearly 4.57 lakh students had appeared for the examinations that were held across the state of Tamil Nadu in the month of March.

9.82 lakh students had appeared for the examination in the state of Tamil Nadu, of which 4.91 lakh were girls and 4.9 lakh were boys.

Number of centum holders:

Social Sciences: 61,115 centums.

Mathematics: 13,759 students

Science: 17,481  students

Tamil: 69 centums

There were no centum scorers in English.

The pass percentage in Puducherry was 93.67%, which is 1.25% more than last year.

How to check TN SSLC class 10 exam results

- Visit the official website www.tnresults.nic.inwww.dge1.tn.nic.in or www.dge2.tn.nic.in

- Click on the link, 'SSLC Exam Class 10 Result'

- Enter the registration number and date of birth and click on submit button

- View your results on screen and take a print of the screen for future reference

Students need to collect the original marksheets from their respective schools, until then the printouts would be helpful.

Students who wish to apply for re-totalling can do so from May 19 (Friday) till May 22 (Monday).

“SMS would also be sent to the registered mobile numbers of students, within two minutes of declaring the results” said the state education minister K.A.Sengottaiyan.

Following the class 12 results, the state will not announce the names of the first three rank holders.

"The first three ranks will not be announced because students these days are mentally affected even if they lose a mark. So, even parents won't pressurize students too much. This will make sure that imparting knowledge is the focus of our educational institutes.", explained the minister.
