The 15-year-old Texas girl who was mistakenly deported to Colombia in May has reunited with her family after flying from the South American country.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement say that Jakadrien Lorece (Ja-KAY-dree-un Lo-REES) Turner claimed to be a 21-year-old Colombian woman named Tika Lanay Cortez when she was arrested in April for theft by Houston Police and then through the ensuing deportation process. She had run away from her Dallas home in November 2010.
She was located in Bogota, Colombia by the Dallas Police Department with help from U.S. and Colombian authorities.
The Colombian government says upon arriving there, the teen was given shelter and a job in a call center.
