At least 10 people were killed when a three-storeyed building collapsed in Maharashtra's Thane district on Friday, police said.
Two minors were killed in the mishap, the police said.
At least 14 people were injured after the Shakuntala building in Mumbra suburb of Thane collapsed around 2:30 am, said the police.
Eight fire engines were rushed to the spot for rescue operations.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) officials have also reached the site.
Officials fear more people are trapped in the debris.
Earlier on June 10, a five-storey residential building in the Mahim area of Mumbai collapsed following heavy rains. Seven people were killed in the accident.
In April, a building collapse in Mumbra killed 74 people.
