Adelaide, Jan 23 (IBNS) India dashing opening batsman Virender Sehwag on Monday said that the burden of captaincy will not prompt him to change his aggressive batting style.
"I don´t think so," Sehwag said when asked if he needed to change his risky game for captaincy.
"I think I have to show some patience against their bowling attack, because if I show some patience maybe I will get some balls to hit for boundaries. It is a challenge. It is a great bowling attack which everybody loves to play against ... whenever you do well against Australia, people appreciate it and really praise your performance," he said.
The 33-year-old opener also said that captaining the Adelaide Test is only a one-off thing and he is not eyeing for the top job in Indian cricket.
Sehwag will be leading the side in the absence of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who will sit out with a one-match ban for the team´s slow over rate in the Perth Test.
"Right now, no. Right now I am just concentrating on this Test match. And it (captaincy) is not in my hands, it´s the selectors´ job," said Sehwag.
