Prince Charles is now relieved as his pregnant daughter-in-law, Kate, returned to Kensington Palace after her three-night hospital stay.

The Duchess of Cambridge left King Edward VII Hospital yesterday with William by her side. It was the first time she has been seen in public since their baby news.

"I'm very glad my daughter-in-law is getting better, thank goodness," the Mirror quoted Charles as saying.

At the same time he is "absolutely thrilled" at becoming a grandfather.

"It's a very nice thought to become a grandfather in my old age, if I can say so," he said.

He has also laughed off the prank call that revealed confidential patient information about Kate's severe morning sickness.

Two Australian DJs posed as Prince Charles and the Queen made hoax call to King Edward VII Hospital to speak to Kate's ward nurse.

Poking fun at the presenter's poor impersonation of his accent, Charles joked: "How do you know I'm not a radio station?" (ANI)
