The woman, who featured on the cover picture of Time magazine with- "Are You Mom Enough?"- as the headline, revealed that she doesn't agree over the image as it made her family look odd.
The woman named Jamie Lynne Grumet, asserted that she agreed to do the controversial Time interview and photo shoot, in order to help erase the stigma of breastfeeding past infancy.
The photograph of her three-year-old son sucking on her breast while tiptoeing on a wooden chair was not of any help to the cause, as it lead to a controversy.
"I definitely don't agree with the cover, and I don't agree with the article," News.com.au quoted Mrs.Grumet as telling ABC News in the US.
"My intentions were to help relieve the stigma attached to breast feeding past infancy, but the photo I saw wasn't the one that we were trying to pose for. It made me really, really sad," she added.
Mrs.Grumet, who was breast fed till the age of six, has now promoted the image on the cover of Pathways to Family Wellness Magazine.
"There are people who tell me they're going to call social services on me or that it's child molestation. I really don't think I can reason with those people," she said.
"There seems to be a war going on between conventional parenting and attachment parenting. That's what I want to avoid. I want everyone to be encouraging. We're not opposing teams," she added.
