Trains services disrupted by 'rail roko' stir in Bihar

Kolkata: Train services of Eastern Railway's Malda and Asansol Divisions were partially affected by the BJP's 'rail roko' stir in Bihar today to demand special category status to the state.

Trains running late were 12024 Dn Patna-Howrah Janshatabdi Express (4 hours), 13050 Dn Amritsar Express (6 hours), 18605 Up Ranchi-Jaynagar Express (3 hours), 13133 Up Sealdah-Varanasi Express (4 hours), 12353 Up Howrah-Lalkuan Express (1 hour), 12367 Up Vikramshila Express (2 hours) and 13023 Up Howrah-Gaya Express (one and half hours) because of obstructions at different stations en route in Bihar, Eastern Railway sources said.

The 12311 Up Howrah-Kalka Mail scheduled to leave Howrah at 7.40 pm this evening was rescheduled at 10.40 pm due to late arrival of the corresponding down train by 6 hours.
