Tripura pays homage to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose through colourful procession

The 116th birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, a dynamic leader in India's struggle for independence, was recently celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotism in Tripura.

The life and contribution of Netaji is one unparalleled example of sacrifice and love for the country.

On his birth anniversary, thousands of people in Agartala, took out a colourful procession that featured patriotic songs, theatre and an art competition.

The rally saw the participation of various schools, including Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan School and other social organizations. The theme of the procession was 'Our India is Our Pride'.

"On the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose we want to honour him through this programme. Our theme is 'India is our pride' and we have depicted this in our procession. Various social issues were highlighted in the procession, including women's empowerment, education and health," said Tanusree Ghosha, a participant.

"Our school's name is Netaji Subash Vidya Niketan and have organized the rally, which people can see from both sides of the road and our aim is to create awareness, and too entertain people," said Sumana Debnath, another participant.

Netaji was a patriot and was prepared to do anything for the sake of liberating his country. (ANI)
