Jaipur: Sixty-five turtle shells have been confiscated and two men arrested in this connection in Kota district of Rajasthan, police said today.
The two were caught by a team of the Special Operations Group of Rajasthan Police yesterday while they were trying to sell the shells.
Raju and Ramprasad were arrested and brought to Jaipur, DIG (SOG) Vishal Bansal said adding the two were involved in illegal trade of turtle shells.
A case under the Wildlife Protection Act had been registered against them, he said.
They were being interrogated to ascertain their contacts, the DIG said.
