New Delhi/Gorakhpur, Mar 22 (IBNS): The Delhi Police on Friday said they have arrested a suspected Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist from Gorakhpur city in Uttar Pradesh.
The suspected terrorist, Liyakat Shah, has reportedly reveled that there were plans of terror strikes during Holi.
The Delhi Police´s Special Cell on Thursday raided a guest house near Jama Masjid in New Delhi and recovered explosives and several AK-47 rifles.
According to reports, the raids were conducted on the basis of the information provided by Shah.
Shah has been sent to 15-day police custody.
"The suspected operative, along with others, had carried out recce for possible terror attacks at busy marketplaces during Holi," CNN-IBN reported quoting sources.
