The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification inviting online applications for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II) 2018.Candidates who wish to register for the exams may visit the official website, upsc.gov.in
The UPSC NDA and Naval academy exams are conducted for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for their 142nd Course, and for the 104th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd July, 2019.
Last date for receipt of applications: July 7, 2018 till 6 PM
Written exam dates: September 9, 2018
Vacancies: The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be: 383 posts
National Defence Academy: 339 (208 for the Indian Army, 72 for the Indian Air Force, 55 for the Indian Navy)
Indian Naval Academy: 44
Eligibility criteria: Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd January, 2000 and not later than 1st January, 2003 are eligible.
(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:—12th class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
All applicants need to pay an application fee of Rs.100.Similarly, SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2 of the official advertisement are exempted from paying the application fee.
Candidates who complete the application process on time, will be issued an admit card three weeks before the exam.
