Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for 110 permanent posts in Indian Forest Service through a preliminary examination as part of Indian Civil Services 2018.Candidates who wish to apply for the examinations may submit their registrations through the official website,

Important Dates:

Closing Date to Apply Online: March 6, 2018.

Date of (Preliminary) Examination: June 3, 2018.

Date of Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination: December 2018.

Eligibility Conditions: The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering.

 Age must be 21-32 years as on 01-08-2018 (age relaxations applies similar to any other government jobs)

Selection Process : Selection procedure shall be by Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, Interview/ Personality Test. The Preliminary Examination will have two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each. Both question papers will be of the objective type (multiple choice questions) & those who qualify in Preliminary Examination will be called for Main Exam.

Main Examination will consist of written examination and an interview test. Main Exam will be in 6 paper. Paper I- General English 300 Marks, Paper II-General Knowledge 300 Marks and Papers III to Paper VI will be of 200 marks for each paper. Only those candidate will qualified in Main Exam, they will be called for interview which will be of 300 marks.

The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- Rupees One Hundred only) [excepting SC/ST/ Female/Physically Handicapped candidates who are exempted from payment of fee] either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India`s associate banks or by using any Visa/Master Credit/ Debit Card.
