"We look forward to continuing to work with Prime Minister Singh's government on strengthening our strategic partnership with India and working on a number of important bilateral issues including a US-India civilian nuclear agreement," Gordon Johndroe, Spokesman of the National Security Council, told PTI.

Johndroe's comments came soon after the UPA government won the trust vote in the parliament over the Indo-US nuclear deal which was signed by Singh and US President George W Bush in June 2005.
