Uttarakhand: Shoe thrown at Rahul Gandhi

A person hurled a shoe at Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while he was addressing a rally in poll bound Uttarakhand's Vikasnagar area on Monday.

One person has been detained by police for throwing the show at Gandhi.

Earlier on Saturday, a man allegedly tried to throw a shoe at Team Anna while they were addressing a rally at Uttarakhand´s Dehradun city.

Key Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal was addressing the gathering at Lord Venkateshwara Hall when the shoe was thrown at him. But it missed him, as well as social activists Kiran Bedi and Manish Sisodia who were sharing the dais with him.

Assembly elections are scheduled to take place in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Punjab.
