New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi has reportedly asked all party MPs and MLAs to donate their one-month salary for relief operations in flood-hit Uttarakhand.

"Congress President Smt Sonia Gandhi directs all Congress MPs & MLAs to grant their one month salary for Uttarakhand releif operations," tweeted All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Ajay Maken on Friday.

Over 13,000 people are still missing and around 50,000 stranded due to floods in Uttarakhand even as rescue operations continued on Friday, said reports.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team reached Rambada on Friday.

"Our focus for rescue operations will be Badrinath, Gaurikund and Rambara. We believe over 5,000 people are stranded there," said a NDRF official.

The official death toll remained same at 150 on Friday.

However, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said: "The number of dead may run into several hundreds. But we will be able to know that only when water recedes from the flooded areas."
