Bani, February 22 (ANI): About 5,00,000 people of three hill districts in Jammu and Kashmir that were cut-off a fortnight ago following a landslide await opening of an alternative road, work for which is going on apace. State government has now stepped the work as the residents started running short of essential supplies. Border Roads Organisation has deployed manpower and machinery at altitudes above 9,000 feet, working day and night in sub-zero temperatures to restore the vital link.
