Pakistani court clears election bar on ex-PM Sharif

Islamabad/ Lahore, May 27 (ANI): Pakistan's Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his politician brother could contest elections, removing a cause of political uncertainty in recent months. Their lawyer, Ashtar Ausaf, told reporters outside the Supreme Court that earlier court rulings that had barred the brothers from elections had been set aside.
