If you thought IT guys click away on iPhones and Canons, and architects restrict themselves to design and restoration, well think again.
They also love to sketch, draw, paint Chennai as it is Now. A year ago, in September 2012, Muralidhar Alagar, a techie, who is also a photographer wanted to sketch Chennai’s pulsating life.
He found a kindred soul in Ganapathy Subramaniam another IT professional, and soon architect V Balaji , his wife Nithya and thier architect daughter Kalpana came on board. Thus was born the Chennai Weekend Artists, borrowing a leaf out of such initiatives in the West, where artists visit specific spots and sketch the varied moods and moments in such places, not to forget the architecture.
