Will do anything to help Rahul: Priyanka

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's sister Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra on Tuesday said that she is ready to help her brother in every possible way during the upcoming assembly polls.

"I will do anything to help my brother. He knows what extent he requires me," Gandhi said.

"I will campaign in Amethi and Rae Bareli right now," she said.

The 40-year-old politician said that she has not yet decided to join active politics.

"I have yet not decided on joining active politics," she said.

Gandhi on Monday commenced her three-day tour in party strongholds- Amethi and Rae Bareli- ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in the politically charged Uttar Pradresh.

She is scheduled to tour Amethi and Rae Bareli on Tuesday.

Congress holds six of the 10 assembly seats in Amethi and Rae Bareli parliamentary constituencies.

UP is going to witness a highly charged assembly poll with Congress going all out to regain its lost ground in the heartland state as party leader Rahul Gandhi devoting full time for the elections by challenging Mayawati while other important players are Mulayam Singh Yadav´s Samajwadi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

UP is going to polls on Feb 8, Feb 11, Feb 15, Feb 19, Feb 23, Feb 28 and March 3.

Counting of votes is on March 6 along with all four other states that are going to elections.
