Jared Jenkins scored a game-high 17 points to lift Wisconsin-Stevens Point past Randolph-Macon 72-60 in an NCAA Division III national semifinal on Friday.

The Pointers (28-4) advanced to the national championship game Saturday against Williams College. Williams defeated Guilford College 97-88.

The Pointers are going for their third national championship, having won it in 2004 and 2005.

Wisconsin-Stevens Point jumped out to a 16-3 lead and never trailed, hitting its first six shots and limiting the Yellow Jackets to three field goals in their first 16 attempts.

Randolph-Macon went scoreless during a seven-minute stretch in the first half, as the Pointers built a 22-point lead and led by 19 at the break.

Trailing by 17 late in the second half, the Yellow Jackets used a 14-5 run to cut the lead to eight on a basket by Brandon Braxton with 3:09 remaining.

But the Pointers got two free throws from Matt Moses and a basket by Jenkins to build the lead back to 12, and Randolph-Macon got no closer than nine the rest of the way.

Jenkins hit 6 of 11 from the floor and hit both of his 3-point attempts for the Pointers, who hit nine 3-pointers in the game. Louis Hurd hit all four of his 3-point attempts and finished with 14 points, while Moses and Jerrel Harris scored 11 each for the Pointers.

Randolph-Macon (26-7) got 14 points from Adam Desgain off the bench and 11 from Danny Jones. The Yellow Jackets shot 39.6 percent from the floor.
