Surajkund, Haryana, Sept 26 (IBNS): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader BS Yeddyurappa skipped the party's national executive meeting that commenced from Wednesday at Surajkund in Haryana.
Instead of attending the meet, the former Karnataka Chief Minister has decided to join a three-day course with the Art of Living Foundation in Bangalore, media reports said.
Pertinently, the Art of Living Foundation is headed by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
The relationship between Yeddyurappa and the BJP has moved through rough weathers in the recent past.
Yeddyurappa last week said he was facing ´suffocating environment´ inside the party.
He said he is waiting for a right time to decide his future.
BJP´s national executive meeting commenced from Wednesday at Surajkund and among the main issues to be discussed is FDI reforms of the government.
The top party leaders are expected to discuss and formulate the strategies to meet the current political situation of the country.
