New Delhi: The swanky Taj Expressway on which one can zip through at a speed of 100 kmph enticed two youths who barged into a businessman's house, stole keys through a window and drove away his expensive sedan.
The duo wanted to enjoy the beauty and speed on the Expressway that takes the capital's denizens to the Taj city of Agra in 90 minutes in a car.
Imran Khan and Arsad, residents of Jamia Nagar and Okhla Vihar respectively, swung into action to fulfill their dream on August 19 when they broke open into the house of the businessman in the city's upmarket Safdarjung Enclave.
Once they were in, the duo picked the car keys through the window latch, identified the car using automatic key and drove away when the family was asleep.
After the businessman found his sedan missing from the garage, he filed a complaint with police.
Yesterday, the police team looking into the case received a specific input that Arshad would come to Jamia Nagar with the stolen car to meet his associates.
After he was arrested, Arshad and Khan confessed to have committed the burglary.
They said they stole the car to realise their dream of driving on the Taj Express Highway, while consuming marijuana inside it with the AC on.
