CAT results for the year 2012 have been declared. Candidates will be able to view their results by logging into the CAT website www.catiim.in
with their registered username and password followed by their roll number.
Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) had conducted the Common Admission Test (CAT) through a 21-day test drive between 11 October 2012 and 6 November 2012. More than 2 lakh aspirants appeared for the computer based CAT at 61 test centres across 36 cities.
Shortlisted candidates will have to further go through the second stage and this phase may include the below mentioned processes:
Written Ability Test (WAT)
Group Discussions (GD)
Personal Interviews (PI)
Clearing the written examination will not entitle an aspirant to get admission into the various IIMs. Performance in the above mentioned process will also be accounted for final result preparation. Besides this, previous academic records, relevant work experience of the candidates will also be taken into consideration in shortlisting and ranking the candidates at various stages of the admission process.
Each IIM will provide the list of shortlisted candidates on individual websites and also send interview letters to the candidates. However, the selection criteria including weightage of marks, academic records and allied processes may vary in different IIMs.
Besides IIMs, there are other B-schools that consider the CAT score for the admission of candidates into their institutes.
