The country's largest government owned bank, State Bank of India released its call for recruitment of specialist officers. In addition to SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur, State Bank of Hyderabad, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Patiala & State Bank of Travancore are also taking part in this hiring.
There are 393 vacancies offered by the banking major across various scales and departments. Each has its own eligibility conditions, educational qualifications & age limits.Since any recruitment drive of state bank group generates good response, one can expect a similar reception as well.
The selection process includes the following stages:
In case the number of applicants for certain positions is less, SBI may consider short listing the candidates instead of conducting a written test. During those times, your qualifications would be taken up for sorting.
The written examination shall be computer based and you won’t be given any question paper. For all those who have already sat for IBPS common exams this is a known platform.
SBI has scheduled the online test in the month of April at different venues all over India. Although it is difficult to predict the exact date of results, you can look forward to the announcement in 2-3 months.
To be eligible for personal interviews candidates have to secure the prescribed minimum qualifying score in each test. Based on these scores a merit list shall be prepared from which individuals would be called to attend interviews.
The bank will fix an appropriate cutoff for candidates to qualify in interview stage and move towards final appointment.
The selection process for specialist officer recruitment might look somewhat simple but dedicated preparation is required to keep pace with level of competition.
