Tamil Nadu government is conducting common examination for 10th and 12th students of Tamil Nadu.
HSC examination is conducted thrice in a year. The examination will be conducted in the month of,
2. June/July(Instant supplementary)
3. September/October(Supplementary examination)
About the examination:
For HSC examination, students need to write examination for 6 papers, The details are
1. Part I Tamil Paper
2. Part II English paper
3. Part III 4 papers according to the group of general stream papers.
The duration of each examination is 3 hours. The examination will be conducted for 200 marks. It will be separated by theory and practical. For theory examination the maximum mark is 150 marks and practical examination the maximum marks is 50 marks. The minimum marks to get pass in HSC examination should be 70% in each subject (40 from theory and 30 from practical).
To attend HSC examination, the students should attain the age of 16+ on the date of 31st July of the year in which the examination going to be conducted.
For HSC examination the fee structures are below:
Subjects involving practical examination: Rs. 200
Subjects without practical examination: Rs. 150
Marks certificate: Rs. 20
Service charge: Rs.5
Timetable for examination
The timetable for the examination will be announced by the Directorate of Government Examination (DGE). If any holiday is declared after releasing the time table it date of the examination will be scheduled by DGE if necessary otherwise the examination will be conducted on the scheduled date.
Result of the examination
The result of the examination will be announced by DGE and it will be published by daily newspapers or internet. The hard copy of the result will be sent to the corresponding school. Students can choose any of these options to see the result. Possibly, the result date will be on third week of May month.
