TNPSC Assistant Director Recruitment 2012

TNPSC is inviting online applications for direct recruitment of Assistant Director of Fisheries in Tamil Nadu Fisheries Service.

Name & No of posts

TNPSC is going to recruit 11 candidates for the post of Assistant Director of fisheries in Tamil Nadu fisheries service.

Eligibility

For SCs, SC (A) s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and destitute widows of all castes candidates, the age should not be less than 18 years. For other candidates the age limit should be between 18 years and 33 years as on 01.07.2012. The educational qualification must be any of the following


1. (i)   M.F.Sc., Degree or
  (ii)  A Doctorate in Zoology or Marine Biology or
  (iii) M.Sc., (Bio-Technology) with a basic B.F.Sc., Degree.
Or
2. A first class degree in M.A/M.Sc., in Zoology or Marine Biology with a minimum of three years of Research experience as evidenced by published scientific papers.
Or
3. A B.F.Sc. Degree with three years of service in the Fisheries Department.

Candidates are required to apply online through the commission's website www.tnpsc.gov.in  or www.tnpscexams.net

Selection process

Selection will be made through Main Examination in Computer Based Test format and Oral Test.   

Mode of submitting application form

Candidates should pay Rs.175/- (Rupees one hundred and Seventy five only) for examination fees. Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs.50/- towards application cost. Candidates can choose either online or offline to pay examination fees. The offline payment should be made in post office or Indian Bank.

Date of notification: 01.11.2012
Last date for submission of applications: 21.11.2012
Last date for payment of Fee through Bank or Post Office: 23.11.2012
Date of Main Examination in computer based test format: 16.12.2012

Important instructions

A valid e-mail ID or mobile number is mandatory for registration and e-mail ID should be kept active till the declaration of results. TNPSC will send hall tickets for main examination in computer based test format, interview call letters, and other memos to the registered/given e-mail ID only.
