TNPSC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2012

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is inviting application for the post of Assistant Engineer (Automobiles) in Tamil Nadu general service. The last date to apply only through online is 21.11.2012.

Name & No of posts

TNPSC will recruit single candidate for the post of assistant engineer in the year of 2012.

Eligibility

Minimum age for SCs, SC (A) s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all Castes candidates must be 18 years. And for other candidates the age limit should between 18 years to 35 years as on 01.07.2012. The education qualification must be any one of the following,


(a) A degree in Automobile (or) Mechanical Engineering
(Or)
(b) A post Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Licenciate or Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu.
The candidates should have minimum of five years experienced in the administration of an office and the management of workshops connected with the maintenance and upkeep of Motor vehicles.

How to apply

Candidates are required to apply online through the commission's website www.tnpsc.gov.in  or www.tnpscexams.net.

Selection process

Selection will be made through Main Examination in Computer Based Test format and Oral Test.   

Mode of submitting application form

Candidates have to pay Rs.175/- (Rupees one hundred and Seventy five only) for examination fees. Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs.50/- towards application cost. Candidates can choose either online or offline to pay examination fees. The offline payment should be made in post office or Indian Bank.

Date of notification: 01.11.2012
Last date for submission of applications: 21.11.2012
Last date for payment of fee through bank or post office: 23.11.2012
Date of main examination in computer based test format: 09.12.2012

Important instructions

A valid e-mail ID or mobile number is mandatory for registration and e-mail ID should be kept active till the declaration of results. TNPSC will send hall tickets for main examination in computer based test format, interview call letters, and other memos to the registered/given e-mail ID only.
