Earlier: TNPSC is inviting applications up to 03.08.2012 for the post of inspector of fisheries and research assistant under Tamil Nadu fisheries subordinate service.

TNPSC will recruit 24 candidates for Inspector of fisheries posts and 12 candidates for research assistant posts.
For SC/ST/MBC/DC/BC/BCM and DW of all candidates, the minimum age limit must be 18 years and no consideration for maximum age limit. For other candidates the age limit should be between 18 years and 30 years. Candidates should be qualified in any of the following or its equivalent:
(i) A Degree in Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc) or its equivalent degree of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants.
(ii) The Associate Diploma in Fisheries Science of the Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Bombay.
(iii) M.Sc., Degree with Zoology (or) M.Sc., Degree with Marine Biology as Main Subject.

Candidates should apply online in the Commission's Website www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net. Candidates have to pay Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty only) for examination fees. Candidates claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs.50/- towards application cost. Candidates can choose either online/offline mode of payment. The offline payment can be made in post office or Indian Bank.
