UPSC Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2012

The UPSC is inviting applications for the post of central armed police forces examination which will be held on 11.11.2012. The applications are invited online only up to 27.08.2012.

Name & no of posts

TNPSC will recruit 401 candidates for the post of Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Eligibility

The age limit for candidates to apply for this post must be completed 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years as on 01.07.2012. The candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1992.


A candidate must be graduates in any degree of a university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India recognized by University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

Selection procedure

The selection procedure will be based on two stages - Written Examination and Physical Efficiency Tests

Personality Test

Final Selection – It will be based on the marks scored in all 3 tests.

Mode of submitting application form

Candidates are required to apply online only by using the UPSC's website www.upsconline.nic.in. Candidates must pay Rs.200/- (Rupees two hundred only) by cash in any of SBI branches or associate bank of SBI, or can pay through net banking. All female candidates and candidates belongs to SC/ST are not required to pay examination fees.
