1. April 24, 1973 - The Indian batting mastero and cricketing legend was born.
2. 1987 - At the age of 14, Sachin was a ball boy for the match between India and Zimbabwe at the Wankhede Stadium during the 1987 World Cup.
3. Feb 25, 1988 - Sachin Tendulkar, 14, and Vinod Kambli, 16 compiled a 664-run unbroken partnership for Shardashram Vidyamandir against St Xavier's. Kambli made 349 not out and Tendulkar 326 not out.
4. Dec 11, 1988 – Makes his first class debut. At 15, scores an unbeaten century against Gujarat at the Wankhede Stadium to become the youngest Indian to make a hundred on first-class debut. He is the only player to score centuries on debut in the Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Irani Trophy.
