Beijing Olympic village opens

China`s NBA star Yao Ming (C) leaves after attending the opening ceremony of the Olympic Village on July 27, 2008 in Beijing, China. Located in the northwest corner of the Olympic Green, the Village lies adjacent to the National Stadium and National Aquatics Center. The Beijing Olympic Games start on August 8.
