The efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to bring international stars for Pakistan Super League (PSL) suffered a setback when Cricket Australia made it clear that they would not support any contracted players participating in PSL.

The News quoted a spokesman of Cricket Australia, as saying that due to the ongoing security concerns in Pakistan, Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers' Association would not support of any international or state contracted player participating in the PSL.

This is first time that any board has publicly said that they can't support the PSL since PCB launched the league earlier this month.

The PCB has already offered a life insurance worth 2 million dollars for players participating in PSL.

But the International union of Cricketers, FICA was not impressed by this offer. FICA, along with PCA (England's players association) has advised international cricketers to stay away from the League. (ANI)
