Cricket`s glamour boys

The Golden Boy of cricket today is certainly Brett Lee – the man with the fearsome pace but winsome smile. A hard but fair opponent Lee attracts considerable attention for many things. As the spearhead of the Aussie pace battery he has everything a great fast bowler should have – stamina, variety, a vicious bouncer, a deadly yorker. Unlike other fast bowlers however he does not snarl or have a mean streak. He takes a boundary in his stride, is ready to applaud an opponent and has a friendly disposition. Perhaps all this has something to do with his overriding image of the gentleman fast bowler. Tall, supple with blond hair Lee has been one of the biggest box office draws in the new millennium thanks to his handsome looks, his cheerful demeanor and ability to keep his emotions under check. This has seen him emerge as one of the most wanted sports personalities the world over when it comes to endorsing a product and he has a particularly high reputation in India where is brand ambassador for a couple of products besides of course cutting an album with the legendary Asha Bhonsle. His typical Aussie easy going nature has endeared Lee to cricket fans everywhere.
