Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton has said she is fine after she cried on the set of Strictly Come Dancing following criticism from judges at the celebrity dance show.
Pendleton mixed up some of her moves and lost her timing as she did a racy cha-cha-cha with professional partner Brendan Cole to Kylie's Spinning Around.
As soon as their routine was over, she put her head in her hands and told Brendan: "Oh, I'm so sorry."
But on Friday night the tears flowed as Pendleton listened to the judges' lukewarm comments, but Pendleton insists, though, that she is not falling apart.
"Everyone saw me cry at the Olympics, but that was something I'd dedicated my life to. I put my heart and soul into my cycling training and into every moment out on that track, so I don't think it's a bad thing that I was passionate and showed it in public," the Daily Express quoted Pendleton, as saying.
"It was completely normal to get emotional when it went really well or really badly. But now people are making out I'm falling apart at the seams just because they've seen me cry a couple of times, which is unfair," she added.
Pendleton, one of the bookmakers' favourites to win, is due to get married next August to Team GB performance coach Scott Gardner. (ANI)
