Fast bowler Tim Bresnan has claimed England would be looking to put right their poor one-day record against India in their country during the upcoming five-match series, starting on January 11 in Rajkot.

The Indian team is in complete shambles right now after losing the second ODI to archrivals Pakistan in Kolkata on Thursday, and by doing so the world champions have also conceded the series 2-0, which is their first defeat in a bilateral home one-day series in more than three years.

It's the perfect time, then, for England to slip into the country attempting to reverse a horrible ODI record in India, which stands at 13 victories from 40 matches and their last two series here have both been lost 5-0, the Telegraph reports.

Bresnan said England has its eyes on rectifying their terrible ODI record in India, saying the players are relishing the challenge.

Bresnan added that their first Test series win in India in 28 years and the victory in the second Twenty20 in Mumbai has given the England players lot of confidence and momentum.

The senior England player said their team is capable of repeating their Test heroics in ODIs to, adding if they play similar kind of cricket then they can upset the world champions at their home turf once again.

Bresnan also praised England's new ODI coach Ashley Giles for his calm and composed approach, and believes the team is in right hands in the fifty-over format. (ANI)
