A Chris Gayle blitz carried Kolkata Knight Riders to their first win in the second edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Knight Riders, who were thrashed by Deccan Chargers in their opener, bounced back in style to beat Kings XI Punjab by 11 runs via the Duckworth and Lewis method in a rain-affected match at Kingsmead on Tuesday.
Chasing 159, Knight Riders were 79 for one in 9.2 overs when rain interrupted proceedings for the third time.
