After a late night tryst in a hotel room, Luke Pomersbach was charged with outraging the modesty of a woman in the archaic words of the Indian Penal Code and swooned in the courtroom before getting bail.
RCB Director Sidhartha Mallya decided to play Pomersbach's guardian angel by tweeting that she had not behaved like a 'future wife'.
The Twitterati had a field day. According to one wag, "Sid Mallya, a girl flirts doesn't mean she'll sleep with you. Just like, if you take money for air ticket doesn't mean your plane will fly."
The woman demanded an apology within 48 hours. The deadline has since expired with no apology forthcoming and we eagerly await future developments.
