Retired Australian batsman Michael Hussey has laughed off spin great Shane Warne's suggestion that he should take over the role of team's batting coach.
Warne outlined his dream team of ex-players he would employ to fix the current shambolic state Australian cricket, describing Hussey as a respected player with a grasp on all forms of the game, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Hussey said it was a whimsical idea, given he retired less than a month ago mainly to spend more time with his young family.
Hussey said he would say that him becoming Australia's batting coach is not possible at this stage because the team is going to be away for eight-and-a-half months of the next year.
Hussey added that is not something he really wants and that is why he retired, adding, if he was to be around the Australian team then he would prefer to be playing. (ANI)
